Your boss can’t read your mind that sending you multiple emails every hour is overwhelming. You can start but requesting to be sent one email at the top of the hour with any pressing issues. Maybe you can avoid emails and request to have a daily 2-3 minute meeting each day about what tasks are most important for you to accomplish. Find what works for both of you.
