Accountability Partners

Accountability Partners
This is a topic I talk a lot about on here: accountability partners.

They are KEY. Find someone that you can trust to hold you accountable and vice versa, agree on a check in schedule and then check in!

If you need help finding someone, comment below! Let’s get paired up with our accountability partners.

Lay out your clothes the night before

Lay out your clothes the night before
A super quick tip to make your morning’s go smoother: lay out your clothes for the next day at bedtime tonight.

No more rushing around trying to figure out what to wear, no more rushing around trying to find that missing shirt you just love.

Take the time at night to look at the weather for the next day, your schedule (do you need to also pack some gym clothes?) and find the clothes you want to wear.

Wake up the next day, get dressed and you are ready!

Do you lay out your clothes or do you rush around in the mornings trying to find your outfit?

Unplug from the Internet each Month

Unplug from the Internet each Month
The internet is such a double edge sword. It helps us stay connected to family and friends near and far but sometimes it overwhelms us. And we need a break.

Today’s tip is to unplug totally one day a month. Feel free to start with one day then increase to 2, maybe every Sunday.

The break from it can be just what we need to feel refreshed and ready.

It’ll be hard! But I know you can do it.

Do you struggle with unplugging from the internet?

Use Timers as Reminders

Use Timers as Reminders
Ooo another technological help! Do you have an Alexa? If not, keep reading!

If you struggle with remembering to switch the clothes from washer to dryer (or any other task really), ask Alexa to remind you.

If you do not have Alexa, set a timer up to remind you.

Same goal of being reminded because time is so tricky! Just slips right on by.. but the way we get there can be different!

Find which way works for you. If its a timer on the phone, Alexa, or even an old school timer that goes off. Reminders are key.

Do you use reminders for everyday tasks?

I use a timer like the one pictured!

Would I buy this today?

Would I buy this today?
Clutter, clutter, clutter. A nemesis of the ADHD brain. Clutter prevents us from being able to focus on what is on hand.

But what to do? How do you know if its something worth keeping or not? Instead of asking if the item sparks joy.. (any Marie Kondo fans??) ask yourself

Would I buy this today?

If the answer is yes, keep.
If the answer is no, donate/recycle/toss.

When answering this question, don’t try to rationalize any one answer. Be honest and quick when responding. It might be helpful to enlist the help of a friend to be the one who asks you the question each time.

How much do you think you have in your room that you would NOT buy today?
